RecentaerialsurveyshaveshownanincreaseinthenumbersofLeatherback turtlesnearshore.

Modificatons madetotheoceanintakevelocitycapswerecompleted inFebruary, 1992,approximately sixmonthspriortothenotedincreaseofturtles.Thelastinspection of'heoceanintake,velocitycapwasmadeinJune,1992.Thenextscheduled fullinspection isscheduled forJune,1993.As,soonastheseaconditions andvisibility permit,St.LucieLandManagement willscheduleasurveyofthevelocitycaptoensurenodamageordeterioration hasoccurred.
