This letter serves to notify you and your staff that the 2017 Operator Licensing Workshop sponsored by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Region III Division of Reactor Safety, Operations Branch, will be held at the Sheraton Hotel, Coltrane Room, located at 3000 Warrenville Road, Lisle, Illinois 60532, on October 3 and 4, 2017. This meeting is categorized as a Public Meeting. This Workshop will focus on topics related to Operator Licensing activities, including an overview of Revision 11 of NUREG-1021, Examination Standards for Power RInitial License Examination Quality, Requalification Issues and Perspectives, NRC Administrative Issues and Perspectives, s Operator Digital Docket system. Members of your operations and training staff involved in the overall Operator Licensing Program, along with your staff, responsible for medical and regulatory assurance, are invited to attend this workshop. Please provide the names and positions of your staff that plan to attend the workshop to Ms. Colleen Schmidt by September 26, 2017, either by phone 630-829-9711 or by e-mail to Colleen.Schmidt@nrc.gov.
