Quiroga joined the NRC in December 2023 as a project engineer in the Region I Division of Operating Reactor Safety. Prior to joining the NRC, he worked as a nuclear engineer for Naval Sea Systems Command at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2013. They serve as the agencys eyes and ears at the facility, conducting inspections, monitoring significant work projects and interacting with plant workers and the public.
