DPR-32 DPR-37 This is in response to your letter of March 14, 1975 requesting additional information in regard to the long-term cooling capability of the emergency core cooling system (ECCS) at our Surry Power Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2.

We recently received a letter from our nuclear steam supply system manufacturer, the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, stating their position on thi.s 111r11:tPT.

r1; c,r:;,_,.c,R;_-0ns with the Regulatory Staff on this matter, and in a letter dated April 1, 1975, Westinghouse letter CLC-NS-39, forwarded you a report documenting their position.

Our staff is presently reviewing the Westinghouse report and the other items requested by your letter.

We plan to complete this review in about thirty (30) days and will forward our response upon completion of that review.
