OUTCOME The ACMUI discussed whether the current abnormal occurrence criteria provide an appropriate threshold for determining if an incident or event is significant from the standpoint of public health and safety or whether the criteria should be revised. The NRC staff gained a better understanding of the views and opinions of the Committee. The NRC staff will consider the Committees comments in the development of its notation vote paper to the Commission.

SUMMARY
