r Gentlemen:

Generic Letter 89-15 described and solicited voluntary licensee commitment to participate in the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) i Project.

New Hampshire Yankee has tentatively scheduled implementation of a major upgrade to the Main Plant Computer System (MPCS) during the third refueling _ outage of Seabrook Station Unit 1.

NHY plans to include the capability to support ERDS hardwara and software rquirements as part of the MPCS upgrade.

Because of current efforts associated with preparation for power ascension testing and full power operation of Seabrook Station Unit 1, NHY requests that any initial meeting with ERDS project management be scheduled after March 31, 1990.

The NHY cognizant individual for the ERDS Project is Mr. Robert B.

McCormack Emergency Planning Resource and Facilities Manager.
