Upon my review of Mike's listrit is obvious to me that we have very different conceptions of what should be covered in the hearings.                         In addition, we still do not have the views of the Staff.

Docket Nos. 50-454 and 50-455 oL

Dear Rich and Mike:

As you know, I am in the process of preparing a list of issues that, in Intervenors' view, should be the subject of litigation in the remanded hearings.

Upon my review of Mike's listrit is obvious to me that we have very different conceptions of what should be covered in the hearings.

In addition, we still do not have the views of the Staff.

Accordingly, I would like to invite you both to attend a conference, in my office, on either May 24 or May 25 for the purpose of attempting to resolve as many differences as possible prior to the May 30 prehearing conference.

Hopefully, this will save the Board's time as well as that of counsel.

Would you both please call me on receipt of this letter to discuss the potential of such a meeting?

Very truly yours,
