Folks, Due to the many varied interests in the AMS situation, there is a wide diversity of folks inside and outside the NRC requesting /needing copies of AMS documents.

We have been spending too much time on an individual basis making copies of documents for various interested persons.

To ensure good teamwork inside the NRC and to minimize the impact of the external interest, I am establishing a distribution list for AMS documents (see enclosure). For the external folks, Wayne Slawinski is drafting letters from me to them indicating that they will be on distribution for documents issued by the NRC and if in the future they find themselves in a position where they no longer want distribution, to let us know. These letters will include copies of all documents issued from 11/1/94 to the date of the letter to establish a baseline of the recent documents of interest.

With this procedure, we should be able to maximize our efficiency.
