Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 TMI-l Fire Brigade Training By letter dated October 30, 1985, GPUN was requested to provide confirmtion that three items concerning the training of personnel who my be used on THI-l and THI-2 fire brigades were included in the fire brigade training program.
The Fire Protection Training Program for Units 1 and 2 is GPUN Corporate Procedure 6210-ADM-2620.03, and is referenced in the TMI-l Fire Protection Plan, submitted January 7,1984 and the TMI-2 Fire Protection Plan, submitted Septeder 11, 1984 The plans include statements that the same personnel my serve as the fire brigade for both Unit 1 and Unit 2 per THI-l Technical Specification 6.2.2.g and TMI-2 Technical Specification 6.2.2.d only if the meders have received the appropriate unit specific training.
Completion of the Fire Protection Training Program is required for qualification as a unit brigade member. The program is applied to the unit brigades separately. The training received by brigade meders is unit specific. The three items of concern are addressed as follows:
