UPDATE TO THE ACCIDENT TOLERANT FUEL ROADMAP TO READINESS
UPDATE TO THE ACCIDENT TOLERANT FUEL ROADMAP TO READINESS The purpose of this memorandum is to transmit an update to the accident tolerant fuel (ATF)
 
Roadmap to Readiness graphic. As a complement to the ATF project plan (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21243A298), it has provided: (1) a graphical representation of the project timeline; (2) project efficiency and reliability; (3) regulatory certainty of licensing near-term ATF, increased enrichment, and higher burnup technologies; and (4) a visual of critical milestones anticipated to maintain a mid-to-late 2020s batch loading deployment timeline for the entire suite of near-term ATF, increased enrichment, and higher burnup. This graphic has been updated to reflect critical milestones completed since the last revision was issued in June 2023.
