NEI 24-05 is part of the overall industry, Department of Energy, and NRC Licensing Modernization Project (LMP) program, and extends the work from NEI 18-04, Risk-Informed Performance-Based Technology Inclusive Guidance for Non-Light Water Reactor Licensing Basis Development, by providing a systematic and technology-neutral methodology for the development of emergency plans in accordance with 10 CFR 50.160, Emergency preparedness for small modular reactors, non-light-wat er reactors, and non-power production or utilization facilities. The document was jointly developed by Argonne National Laboratory and NEIs Advanced Reactor Regulatory Task Force.
