The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and external stakeholders to exchange information related to the embrittlement trend curve in Regulatory Guide 1.99 Rev 2, Radiation Embrittlement of Reactor Vessel Materials, and 10 CFR 50.61, Fracture Toughness Requirements for Protection Against Pressurized Thermal Shock Events, and surveillance requirements in 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix H, Reactor Vessel Material Surveillance Program Requirements. The NRC staff will discuss analyses related to these topics and the potential impact on the reactor pressure vessel during long-term operation.
