Dear Mr. Rusche:

Pursuant to 10CFR50 & 50-90, a change to Section 1.2 of the Oconee Nuclear Station Technical Specifications, Appendix B to Facility Operating Licenses DPR-38, -47 and -55 is requested. Specifically, as indicated on the attached Technical Specification replacement page, it is proposed that Specification 1.2.B be changed to increase the pH limit of water discharged from the station site from 8.5 to 9.0. This value is consistent with the pH limit for chemical effluents as stated in the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972.

It is requested that this chcnge be approved as expeditiously as possible.
