(DNC) requested an amendment to Operating License DPR-65 for Millstone Power Station Unit 2 (MPS2). The proposal was to revise Technical Specification (TS) 3/4.5.2, "Emergency Core Cooling System, ECCS Subsystem - T avg ~ 300°F." The proposed change would eliminate surveillance requirement 4.5.2.e from the MPS2 TS. On February 15, 2008, the NRC forwarded a request for additional information (RAI). This RAI was also documented in a March 3, 2008 letter. DNC responded to the RAI in letter dated March 6, 2008 (Serial 07-0023A).

Based on issues identified by the NRC during a teleconference on April 1, 2008, DNC is withdrawing the proposed amendment request. It is DNC's intention to address these additional issues in a resubmittal to the NRC. Prior to resubmittal of a proposed amendment, DNC plans to request a meeting with the NRC staff to discuss the revised submittal.

(DNC) requested an amendment to Operating License DPR-65 for Millstone Power Station Unit 2 (MPS2). The proposal was to revise Technical Specification (TS) 3/4.5.2, "Emergency Core Cooling System, ECCS Subsystem - T avg ~ 300°F." The proposed change would eliminate surveillance requirement 4.5.2.e from the MPS2 TS. On February 15, 2008, the NRC forwarded a request for additional information (RAI). This RAI was also documented in a March 3, 2008 letter. DNC responded to the RAI in letter dated March 6, 2008 (Serial 07-0023A).
