Specifically, the NRC requested Virginia Electric and Power Company to confirm that the Thermo-Lag material used at Surry and North Anna Power Stations to meet NRC requirements or licensing commitments are representative of the population of Thermo-Lag samples that were tested by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI).

These exemption requests are still pending review and approval by the NRC.
