SUBJECT:        RESPONSE TO NRC INSPECTION REPORT 150-00035/2018-001 AND
                NOTICE OF VIOLATION
Dear Mr. Marakah:
On November 1, 2018, we received your letter dated October 30, 2018 (NRC Agencywide
Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession ML18310A094) responding
to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) Notice of Violation; EA-18-102, dated
October 4, 2018. The Notice of Violation cited Midwest Engineering and Testing Corporation
with a failure to file for reciprocity at least 3 days prior to engaging in licensed activities in areas
of exclusive federal jurisdiction. After reviewing the information provided in your response, we
have concluded that your corrective actions appear to adequately address the regulatory
noncompliance. Please note that we may, at a future date, perform an inspection of your
activities operating under a general license pursuant to 10 CFR 150.20, at which time we will
review the implementation of your corrective actions to determine that compliance has been
maintained.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be
made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from
the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the
NRCs website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The NRC also includes significant
enforcement actions on its website at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-
collections/enforcement/actions.
