Subject:

Tritium update Wayne, I just received a call from Ken Aeger (licensee corporate) regarding vertical sampling that was conducted last week. Samples taken from Remediation Well (RW-2) which is located inside the Owner Controlled Area just south of Smiley Road and to the west of where the CW blowdown pipe crosses Smiley Rd was analyzed for tritium at varying depths. Here are the results: depth tritium (pCi/liter) 1 0'6" 58,621 20'6" 170,024 25' 223,888 The licensee believes there is a clay layer which starts at about the 25-30 ft depth which the tritium is not able to penetrate.

Remember these values were all identified on Exelon property. The licensee will be performing several additional vertical samples on various other wells both on and off of their property.Greg Roach RI Braidwood (815)458-2852 CC: Nirodh Shah; Richard Skokowski; Steven Orth
