GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY PARENT GUARANTEE OF FUNDS FOR DECOMMISSIONING, ANNUAL FINANCIAL TEST (TECHNICAL ASSIGNMENT CONTROL NUMBER L33372)

Dear Mr. Murray:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) reviewed your documents relating to financial assurance for the General Electric Company, submitted by letter dated March 17, 2015. This financial assurance documentation addresses decommissioning financial assurance for the Global Nuclear Fuel - America's Fuel Manufacturi ng facility, the Reuter-Stokes facility, the Vallecitos Nuclear Center, and the Morris Operations facility.

The NRC staff reviewed the documents for conformance to NRC's regulations and NUREG-1757, Volume 3, "Consolidated NMSS Decommissioning Guidance: Financial Assurance, Recordkeeping, and Timeliness." The documents submitted were found acceptable in accordance with NUREG-1757, Volume 3, Appendix A.8. The licensees comply with Appendix A, "Criteria Relating to Use of Financial Tests and Parent-Company Guarantees for Providing Reasonable Assurance of Funds for Decommissioning" of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), Part 30; therefore, the parent company guarantee is acceptable financial assurance for decommissioning. To continue utilizing the parent-company guarantee, General Electric must repeat passage of the financial test within 90 days after the close of each succeeding fiscal year as required by 10 CFR, Part 30, Appendix A, Section C.1.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure," a copy of this letter will be available electroni cally for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Av ailable Records component of NRC's document system, Agencywide Documents Access and M anagement System (ADAMS).
