Dear Mr. Heflin: On February 11, 2016, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) cited Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation

's failure, in the case of a significant condition adverse to quality, to assure that the cause of the condition was determined and corrective action taken to preclude

repetition

as required by 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, Criterion XVI, "Corrective Action." The Notice of Violation, enclosed with Inspection Report 05000482/2015004 (ML16043A054), required you to respond in writing within 30 days. You responded by letter dated March 10 , 2016, (ML16076A358). We have reviewed your response and find that it meets the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. We will review your corrective actions during a future inspection.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Agency's Rules of Practice

and Procedure," a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public
