The following information was received by telephone/facsimile:
"On June 11, 2015, a Loggerhead Sea Turtle was retrieved from the Intake Canal. The condition of the turtle indicates that the death was not recent but it is assumed to be attributed to plant operations. A necropsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. Notification of the retrieval will be made to the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission. This event did not result in any adverse impact to the health and safety of the public.
"The NRC Senior Resident Inspector has been notified."
Notified the R2DO (Guthrie) and the Endangered Species Group via email.
