Enclosed is a revised schedule for the review of the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3, license renewal application. This schedule has been updated to reflect a change in the scheduled date for the issuance of the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (FSEIS). The issuance date of the FSEIS has been delayed until May 31, 2010. This delay is a result of new information that Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. has submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, including replacement aquatic data and revised severe accident mitigation alternative analyses. The enclosed schedule includes a current best-estimate date for the FSEIS issuance. If you have any questions on the revised schedule, please contact me at 301-415-2292. Dear Mr. Pollock:

Enclosed is a revised schedule for the review of the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3, license renewal application. This schedule has been updated to reflect a change in the scheduled date for the issuance of the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (FSEIS).

The issuance date of the FSEIS has been delayed until May 31, 2010. This delay is a result of new information that Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. has submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, including replacement aquatic data and revised severe accident mitigation alternative analyses. The enclosed schedule includes a current best-estimate date for the FSEIS issuance.
