James A. Fitzpatrick LOI-12-2 NRC Exam Written Examination Review
In accordance with Entergy Procedure EN-TQ-105, NRC Initial License Examination, Development and Administration, and NUREG 1021, Revision 9, Supplement 1, Sections ES-402, ES-403, and ES-501, an examination analysis was conducted on the James A. Fitzpatrick LOI-12-2 NRC Written Examination. This analysis included a detailed review of each question missed by 50% or more of the applicants. The table below summarizes the findings of this detailed question review.
James A. Fitzpatrick LOI-12-2 NRC Exam Analysis - High Miss Questions Question Percent Correct New, Modified, Bank Higher or Lower Cognitive System or Topic Justification 28 40% New Higher Cognitive RHR / LPCI Two candidates selected choice B and one candidate selected choice D.
These incorrect choices were due to not fully remembering interlocks for LPCI injection valves and the RHR heat exchanger bypass valve.
No discrepancies were noted in this question based on the examination review. 36 20% New Lower Cognitive RPS / Shutdown Cooling Four candidates selected choice D due
to not knowing that AOP-30 provided specific guidance on re-establishing Shutdown Cooling with a de-energized
RPS bus.
No discrepancies were noted in this question based on the examination review.
