SUMMARY OF PUBLIC MEETING  The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a public open-house to discuss its assessment of the safety performance at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant for 2016. The open-house was held on April 25, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Springhill Suites Hotel, Prince Frederick, MD.
A notice of the open-house was issued March 7, 2017, and posted on the NRC's external (public) Web page. The meeting notice can be found in the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) with Accession No. ML.17069A115. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web page at:  http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. The NRC presented poster boards and fact sheets, and NRC staff was available to discuss its assessment of the safety performance of the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant Units 1 and 2 for the period of January 1, 2016, through December 31, 2016, as documented in our letter dated March 1, 2017 (ADAMS Accession No. ML17058A364). The NRC poster boards and fact sheets included background on the Reactor Oversight Process. Additional information relative to the NRC's Annual Assessment Process and the safety performance of the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant can be found on the NRC's web site at: www.nrc.gov/NRR/OVERSIGHT/ASSESS/index.html.
