Gentlemen:

A routine safety inspection was conducted by Ms. M. Miller of this

office on May 20-23, 1985 at Limerick Generating Station, Unit 1,

Limerick, Pennsylvania of activities authorized by NRC License No.

NPF-27. Discussions of our findings were held by Ms. Miller with Mr. G.

Leitch of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection. All aspects

of the inspection were witnessed by Mr. S. Miangi of the Pennsylvania

Bureau of Radiation Protection.

Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I

Inspection Report Which is enclosed with this letter.

The inspection of

your Radioactive Waste Management Program consisted of selective

examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with

personnel, and observations by the inspector.

Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.

No reply to this letter is required. Your cooperation with us in this

matter is appreciated.
