Surgtary. 0LOpet ating_EspeIitnce Dialdwood Unit 1 enter ed the month of October at approultnotely 98% power.

The unit operated routinely until October 6, 1991 when power was reduced to repals a sightglass on a reactor coolant purnp oil reservoir.

On October 10, 1991 power was again tedvted and the generator taken of f line to repalr a f ailed condensete polisher strainer and to clean up feedwater chemistry. The unit returned to rout.ine operation on October 14, 1991 and continued operating routinely through the remainder of the month.

coolant pump developed a leak. This resulted in air being drawn into the sightglass causing a low level alarm in the upper oil reservoir.

The sightglass was repaired.

an intrusion of a small amount of resin into the feedwater system resulting in an increase in the chemistry parameters above

administratively controlled limits. The l

condensate polisher was removed from service and the strainer repaired. Feedwater i

chemistry was returned to acceptble limits before returning the unit to power.
