Salem Generating Station Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-272 and 50-311 License Change Request S03-07 Request for Change to Technical Specifications Containment Systems - Containment Cooling Systems PSEG Nuclear LLC submitted the proposed change to the Salem Technical Specifications by letter to the NRC dated April 15, 2004. The proposed changes are required to support the addition of a new non-safety related closed-loop chilled water cooling system to be used to supply cooling water to the Containment Fan Coil Units (CFCUs) during normal operations. This LCR would also correct a non-conservative Action Statement 3.6.2.3.b that was discovered during the. preparation -ofthis LCR..

However, the BNE recommends that the portion ofthis LCR pertaining to the non-conservative Action Statement 3.6.2.3.b be reviewed and issued on an expedited basis in accordance with the spirit of Administrative Letter 98-10.
