I am replying to your request of-May 26, 1981 to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Comanche Peak Steam i

Electric' Station, Units 1 &'2.

This Draft EIS has been reviewed-

by appropriate FERC staff components upon whose evaluation this response is based.

This staff. concentrates its review of other' agencies' en-vironmental impact statements basically.on those areas of the electric power, natural gas, and = oil pipeline industries for which the comission has jurisdiction by law, or where staff t

has special expertise in evaluating environmental impacts in-I voled with the proposed' action.

It does not. appear that there would be any significant impacts in these areas of concern nor serious conflicts with this agency's responsibilities should this action be undertaken.
