One additional area to consider updating in NEI 16-05 is the trigger for the need for an FE/IA. My understanding of the outcome of the recent public meeting on associated effects is that there was agreement that the trigger should be for a water elevation for the reevaluated flooding hazard exceeding the current design basis, not an exceedance of non-water elevation related associated effects (e.g., soil deposition). We will clarify this area in the final version of the ISG to reflect the discussion at that meeting, but there could be some value in having all of the guidance within NEI 16-05, leaving guidance to the staff here for the content of the ISG.

Tom, Attached are my draft slides for the meeting coming up this Thursday. I wanted to provide them early because I understand youre working on a revised version of NEI 16-05; this should allow us to be better prepared jointly for the meeting.

Ill be down there for a drop in with Jim Riley on rulemaking scheduling, etc., Thursday morning before the meeting; are you attending?
