No local earthquakes were detected. | |||
Of these 166 'events, 151 were confirmed as being explosions by the respon-sible companies or agencies. | |||
The remaining 15 events displayed the signature and arrival pattern of previously identified cultural events and all of them occurred during daylight hours. | |||

Se tember 30 1979 Carolina Power
& Light Company has completed another quarter of operation of its seismic monitoring program at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant site near New Hill, North Carolina.
During this period a total of 166 cultural events were recorded with an S-P of less than 5 seconds.
No local earthquakes were detected.
Of these 166 'events, 151 were confirmed as being explosions by the respon-sible companies or agencies.
The remaining 15 events displayed the signature and arrival pattern of previously identified cultural events and all of them occurred during daylight hours.
