Pursuant to the reference letter, Exelon was required to provide the NRC information regarding the transition to an Exelon security program and implementing procedures that supersede documented actions, as well as updates on the status of the security force transition plan, via weekly telephone calls with Region 1 management. These calls were implemented soon after the receipt of the subject letter and have served to keep Region 1 apprised of our transition to an Exelon security force and associated corrective actions. Dear Mr. Collins:
Pursuant to the reference letter, Exelon was required to provide the NRC information regarding the transition to an Exelon security program and implementing procedures that supersede documented actions, as well as updates on the status of the security force transition plan, via weekly telephone calls with Region 1 management. These calls were implemented soon after the receipt of the subject letter and have served to keep Region 1 apprised of our transition to an Exelon security force and associated corrective actions. During the transition update call on February 6, 2008, Mr. James Trappe, Chief, Plant Support Branch 1, informed the site Regulatory Assurance Manager, James Armstrong, that weekly security transition update calls would no longer be required. It was stated that any future security transition activities would be inspected as part of upcoming security deviation and baseline inspections. Therefore, we will no longer be conducting weekly status calls.
