==Dear Ms. Catts:==

By letter dated October 1, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML18274A195), Global Nuclear Fuel - Americas (GNF), submitted for the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review Administrative Amendment 49 to NEDE-24011-P-A-27, General Electric Standard Application for Reactor Fuel (GESTAR II).
The NRC staff has performed an acceptance review of this proposed GESTAR II amendment.
We have found that the material presented is sufficient to perform our review, however, we will not begin the review until we receive the following approved documents from you formally on the docket:
* Applicability of GE Methods to Expanded Operating Domains, Licensing Topical Report, NEDC-33173P-A, Revision 5
* Applicability of GE Methods to Expanded Operating Domains - Supplement for GNF3 Fuel, NEDC-33173 Supplement 5P-A, Revision 1
* Applicability of GE Methods to Expanded Operating Domains - Removal of the Safety Limit Minimum Critical Power Ratio (SLMCPR) Penalty, NEDC-33173 Supplement 6P-A, Revision 1 The NRC staff estimates that the review will require approximately 120 staff hours including project management. This approach to the review was discussed with Mr. Kent Halac and Ms. Lisa Schichlein and the NRC staff on December 4, 2018.
Section 170.21 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations requires that TRs are subject to fees based on the full cost of the review. You did not request a fee waiver; therefore, NRC staff hours will be billed accordingly.
