DRAFT High Flux LAR Supplemen tal Information Request.pdfMr. Wasik, By letter dated May 19, 2015 (ADAMS Accession No. ML15146A056), Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC, (Duke) submitted a License Amendment Request pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90. This license amendment request proposes to add a Reactor Protective System Nuclear Overpower - High Setpoint trip for three reactor coolant pumper operation to Technical Specification Table 3.3.1-1.

The NRC staff has reviewed the application and concluded that the information delineated in the attachment to this e-mail is necessary to enable the staff to make an independent assessment regarding the acceptability of the proposed license amendment request in terms of regulatory requirements and the protection of public health and safety and the environment.

Please review the DRAFT information in the attachm ent and contact me to set up a meeting with the NRC staff. In accordance with LIC-109, "Acceptance Review Procedures" this meeting should be held within 5 business days of the date of this e-mail. If you do not a feel a conference call is necessary, please inform me, and the NRC staff will issue a letter with the information insufficiencies as attached and request that Duke respond to the letter by August 26, 2015.
