NOTIFICATION OF COMMITMENT TO IMPLEMENT ALL THREE PHASES OF THE JOINT OWNERS GROUP PROGRAM Commitment No: 7945 Classification: Revision Source Document: C0601-18 Original Commitment Statement:
Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) commits to the Motor Operated Valve (MOV) Joint Owners Group (JOG) Program with a one-time exception of 2-ICM-251 static diagnostic testing to exceed the periodic verification (PV) frequency interval to extend through the completion of the scheduled U2C21 refueling outage in 2013.
Revised Commitment Statement:
I&M commits to the MOV JOG Program with a one-time exception for 2-ICM-251 static diagnostic testing to exceed the PV frequency to extend through the completion of the U2C21 refueling outage and a one-time exception for 1-IMO-310 extension to October 31, 2015.
Change Description Summary:
The MOV JOG program dictates that static diagnostic test frequencies be set based on Table 7-14 in MPR-2524-A. Using the frequency criteria from MPR-2524-A, 1-IMO-310 has a PV frequency of 6 years.
As a result of an unplanned forced outage for diesel generator repairs, system conditions do not support performing the PV diagnostic test by the current due date of July 21, 2015. The affected work week window has been rescheduled for October 2015.
Current margins for 1-IMO-310 is 112% on the OPEN stroke and 258% for the CLOSE stroke.
1-IMO-310 is considered to have high margin. The PV diagnostic test validates the MOV has not degraded in performance since the last diagnostic test.
