Pilgrim ISFSI-II Inspection Date:           Thursday, June 17, 2021 12:00:40 PM On June 17, 2021, Region I physical security inspectors completed a security inspection of the ISFSI-II at Pilgrim using IP 81311, Physical Security Requirements for Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installations. On-site inspection activities were conducted March 1-3, and June 14-17, 2021. The inspection covered the licensees physical security plan, Revisions 19A and 20, and NRC Order EA 132, Additional Security Measures, dated July 23, 2013.

Inspection activities included a review of the access authorization program for the ISFSI-II; verification and assessment of the licensees testing and maintenance program to assure the functionality and reliability of security equipment, verification that a rapid, capable response to safeguards contingency events had been appropriately developed and effectively implemented, conducting interviews with responsible security personnel and plant employees, and performing walk-downs of the ISFSI-II.
