The referenced letter stated that PECo was considering pre-employment drug screening of nuclear plant contractors, was instituting a trial drug screening program for employees and was preparing a fitness for duty specification for contractor purchase orders. A drug screening program is being developed for both contractor and PECo employees. The specifications and procedures to govern the program have been developed and final approval is expected by March 18, 1988. Implementation of the drug screening program will follow in the spring of 1988.
