Thank you for your supplementary response of May 31, 1985, to our Notice of | |||
Violation issued on February 13, 1985, concerning activities conducted at your | |||
Sequoyah facility. | |||
We have evaluated your response and found that it meets | |||
the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201. | |||
We will examine the implementation of your | |||
-corrective actions during future inspections. | |||
This response was further discussed on June 25, 1985, with the Sequoyah | |||
! | Compliance Supervisor and several members of the task force who participated in | ||
! | |||
the review of facility modification packages requiring post-modification testing | |||
and furictional testing. | |||
It is our understanding that the task force screened a | |||
total of 473 modification packages for selection of further review which appeared | |||
to be safety related modifications and requiring functional or post-modification | |||
testing. | |||
In the initial survey, 25 modifications received in-depth review; | |||
however, af ter identification of several items of concern, the scope of the | |||
review was expanded. | |||
As a result, a total of 124 modifications were reviewed and | |||
eight items of concern were subsequently identified. | |||
Furthermore, it is our | |||
undert,tanding that the recommendations made to strengthen programmatic areas of | |||
Sequoyah's testing program . outlined in your response are in fact commitments. | |||
Should you have any questions regarding this understanding, we will be pleased to | |||
discuss them. | |||
