Au defined by Technical Specifications for the Vermont Yankee NucIcar Power Station, Section 6.7. A.c, we are reporting the following Abnormal Occurrence as A0-73-15 and confirming our telephone convernation with your office.

At approximately 1100 on June 12, 1973, while performing. a.testc in accordance with Tech. Spec. Table 4'.1.1, the First State Turbinu Prenoure Permionive Pressure Switch 5-14A, which deenergizes relay-SA-K9A above 220 paia, Iailed to.neet the proper outpoint. This Barksdale sonnor is. required by Tech. Spec. Section 4.1.A to. operate-with the Reactor mode switch.in the RUlr modo..The reactor was operating at approximately 75% at the tice of this occurrence.

The switch was reset from 235 psia to operate at a conservative notpoint of 207' pain and: returnod.to acrvice at approximately 1120 June 12,1973.
