This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Brian McCabe of your staff and George Hopper of this office on July 16, 2013, concerning a Regulatory Conference, being conducted at your request, which has been scheduled for August 19, 2013, at 10:30 A.M. The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed. The purpose of the Regulatory Conference is to discuss the risk significance of the inspection finding documented in Inspection Report No.IR NO.: 50-261/13-08. This finding involved the failure to perform adequate preventive maintenance on the dedicated shutdown diesel generator (DSDG) cooling system, in accordance with vendor recommendations and was preliminarily characterized as WHITE, e.g., an issue having low to moderate safety significance. In addition, the conference will also address the apparent violation associated with the inspection finding.
