Ne^v Hampshire Yankee has recruited, trained and drilled ~ personnel required to staff the' Vehicular-Alert and Notification System (VANS). VANS personnel were assigned shifts and reporting locations effective January 2,

.. 1990. All facilities and equipment have been installed, tested and placed

- into maintenance programs.

Effective 12:00 noon, today VANS personnel and equipment are declared operational and maintenance / test programs are in effect. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has'been advised (Reference b).
