Yesterday, Caldon informed Palo Verde that they discovered a problem at River Bend with the use of this UFM instrument and that Palo Verde's configuration is similar to River Bend's so the problem may exist at Palo Verde. The problem results in a 0.8% non-conservative error. As a conservative measure, Palo Verde has switched back to using the venturies which has resulted in a 1-3% power decrease at the operating units (1 & 2).
Palo Verde expects a letter from Caldon today with a better explanation of the problem.
That's all I know about this issue for now.
