This letter documents the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs plan to perform a routine vendor inspection at Westinghouses facilities in New Stanton, Pennsylvania to review implementation of your quality assurance program in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 50, Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 21. Specifically, the quality assurance program will be reviewed as it pertains to Westinghouses testing of safety-related components that comprise the uninterruptable power supply system for the AP1000 reactors currently under construction at Vogtle Units 3 and 4. The inspectors plan to arrive at your New Stanton, Pennsylvania facility on Monday, January 28, 2019, and will conduct the inspection through Friday, February 1, 2019. Subsequent to the inspection, a report will be issued and transmitted to you via letter. The lead inspector for this effort is Jeffrey Jacobson; you may contact him at 301-415-2977 or via electronic mail at Jeffrey.Jacobson@nrc.gov.
