Standard Technical Specifications

The Standard Technical Specifications (STS) refers to the NRC approved template which nuclear plants can adopt based on plant design. A custom Tech Spec means that a plant hasn't adopted a standard tech spec. The term Improved Technical Specifications is a synonym for STS.
