SUMMARY
OF THE APRIL 4, 2003, MEETING WITH EXELON GENERATION COMPANY, LLC TO DISCUSS BYRON PERFORMANCE On April 4, 2003, a public meeting was held at the Jarrett Prairie Center in Byron, Illinois, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Exelon Generation Company staff.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss NRCs assessment of Byrons performance for the period of January 1, 2002, through December 31, 2002.
During the NRC presentation, an overall assessment of Byron performance was provided. As explained in the Annual Assessment letter from NRC to Mr. J. Skolds, President, Exelon Nuclear, dated March 4, 2003, reference ADAMS accession number ML030640285, Byron Station, Units 1 and 2 operated in a manner that preserved public health and safety and fully met all cornerstone objectives. The slides presented that evening by the NRC and the licensee are available in ADAMS (accession numbers ML030920491 and ML031060189).
