NRC INSPECTION REPORT 050-00133/09-001
Dear Mr. Conway:
This refers to the inspection conducted on January 12-15, 2009, at the Humboldt Bay Power Plant, Unit 3 facility. This inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to safety and compliance with the Commissions rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selected examination of procedures and representative records, observations of activities, and interviews with personnel.
This inspection consisted of a routine inspection of decommissioning activities and included a confirmatory survey of the area where the new generation plant will be constructed. The enclosed report presents the results of this inspection. In summary, the inspector determined that you were conducting decommissioning activities in compliance with regulatory and license requirements.
