Enclosed is the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff's revised environmental review schedule for the Columbia Generating Station license renewal application. This revised schedule was established to accommodate a timely review of your application along with all other concurrent reviews of applications for license renewal. In developing the revised schedule, the NRC staff took several factors into consideration, including additional constraints on NRC staff resources affecting the environmental review and the previously extended review for severe accident mitigation alternatives. At this time, the staff does not anticipate that this change in the environmental review schedule will have an impact on the overall license renewal review schedule for Columbia Generating Station. The NRC staff will continue to follow established review procedures and the enclosed schedule to complete the reviews required by Parts 54 and 51 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations. | Enclosed is the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff's revised environmental review schedule for the Columbia Generating Station license renewal application.
