On May 9, 2013, members of the NRC staff met with representatives of Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2, in Russellville, AR, to discuss the results of the Augmented Inspection conducted at Arkansas Nuclear One. The Augmented Inspection Team was chartered to review the circumstances surrounding an industrial accident which caused a loss of offsite power to Unit 1 and an automatic shutdown of Unit 2 on March 31, 2013. A copy of the NRCs presentation is included as Enclosure 1. | |||
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of the NRCs Agency-wide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). On May 9, 2013, members of the NRC staff met with representatives of Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2, in Russellville, AR, to discuss the results of the Augmented Inspection conducted at Arkansas Nuclear One.
