Site: BRUNSWICK Emergency Class: NON EMERGENCY On June 10, 2017, a Loggerhead Sea Turtle was retrieved from the Circulating Water Intake Canal Trash Rack. There were visible signs of injury on the turtle. Based on the visible injuries, it is indeterminate if the injuries were a result of plant operations. After consultation with the North Carolina Wildlife Commission Sea Turtle Coordinator (NCSTC), it is determined that the Sea Turtle requires rehabilitation versus release.
