Operating License NO. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 Response to Supplement 1 to Generic Letter 92-01, Revision 1, " Reactor Vessel Structural Integrity" Part (1) of " Required information" in Supplement I to Generic letter 92-01, Revision 1, dated May 19, 1995 requested a description of those actions taken or planned to locate all data relevant to the determination of reactor pressure vessel integrity, or an explanation of why the existing data base is considered complete as previously submitted. The Supplement requested our response to Part (1) within 90 days of the issue date or by August 19,1995.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you that on August 1,1995 the B&W Owners Group submitted an industry response to Part (1) of Supplement 1 to Generic Letter 92-01, Revision I on behalf of the B&W Owners Group Reactor Vessel Working Group of which GPU Nuclear is a member. The submittal transmitted BAW-2257 prepared by B&W Nuclear Technologies. Prior to the submittal GPU Nuclear reviewed and concurred with the response.

Therefore, the August 1,1995 B&W Owners Group submittal referenced above provides the TMI-l response to Part 1 of Supplement 1 to GL 92-01, Rev.1.

Responses to Parts (2) throuFh (4) of the Supplement will be submitted in accordance with the requested schedule or by November 19, 1995.
