By {{letter dated|date=October 6, 1997|text=letter dated October 6,1997}}, PECO Energy submitted an updated listing of the set of data points for the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) data point library for Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Units 2 and 3. The information submitted contained a listing of all current ERDS data points in the library for PBAPS, Unit 2 and 3. ERDS is a direct, near real-time, electronic data link between PBAPS and the NRC's Operations Center which provides for the transmission of selected process computer data for monitoring various plant parameters. This information is required by 10CFR50, Appendix E, Section VI.S.a.

Dear NRC Officials:

By letter dated October 6,1997, PECO Energy submitted an updated listing of the set of data points for the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) data point library for Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Units 2 and 3. The information submitted contained a listing of all current ERDS data points in the library for PBAPS, Unit 2 and 3. ERDS is a direct, near real-time, electronic data link between PBAPS and the NRC's Operations Center which provides for the transmission of selected process computer data for monitoring various plant parameters. This information is required by 10CFR50, Appendix E, Section VI.S.a.

Subsequently, by letter dated November 6,1997, the NRC informed PECO Energy that the ERDS point library information submitted was incomplete and inconsistent with guidance established in NUREG 1394, Revision 1," Emergency Response Data System (ERDS)Imptomontatim."

Appendices C through I of the NUREG provide the appropriate format and background guidance for submitting ERDS data point library information. In the letter, the NRC also indicated that there should be a reference as to whether data points are being added to the data point library, or if points are intended to replace existing points in the library. As a result, the NRC requested a corrected data point library listing for PBAPS, Units 2 and 3.

Each specific data point listed is annotated with a reference indicating whether the point is an addition, replacement, or change to the data point ;ibrary.
