NEI 20-07 Overview It is understood that NEI 20-07 is a new approach Provides performance based guidance vs. prescriptive list of design attributes Enables use of best practices already in the public domain Provides a common understanding of expectations (i.e., SDOs) when designing application software Design Attributes (e.g. defensive measures) can be used to meet SDOs through the Assurance Case
